Confused, EN Win v6.25.1 or EN v10....

Recommended Posts

My Win 7 Pro, SP1, EN Client v 6.25.1.9091 GA hasn't updated since June 2020

I used to check GA releases manually, but that forum link seems outdated

Now, I see EN for Mac & Win 10.2 is here ...

Q. EN Client > Help > Check for Updates, shows no updates

Am I expected to update manually to a v 10.2?
Has EN client updates for Win 7 been discontinued ?

Thanks

Yep... that's exactly the same situation with my EN v6.25.1.9091 for Windows10

IMHO, and given the above 'no updates available', I'd suggest that EN are neither Expecting nor Encouraging people to update. I suspect that once they iron out all the teething issues with v10, they may roll it out via auto-update notifications at that time.  Not sure what their roll-out plan is, but it might be on an invitation basis, someone else might answer this.

As for me and many others I've read on these forums, I will be holding tight with v6.25 for as long as possible, or the better part of 2021, before manually moving to, or possibly pushed into the new v10.

I'm  with @RavBoy, I am staying on 6.25.1 for as long as I can pending EN fixing the cluster.  There are enough issues on 10.x that some of them are bound to bite you.
