[Troubleshooting] iPad: Left Side Bar Icon Missing When Connected to an External Keyboard

Hi All,

We've seen a small number of reports of users saying that their left side bar icon goes missing when connected to an external keyboard.

This is an issue we're aware of, and working to address.

As a workaround, switching to a different note in the note list should cause the icon to appear again.

Also, you shouldn’t encounter this issue if you are not using an external keyboard.

Please let us know on this thread if you have encountered this issue.

Yes...when using the Magic Keyboard (and with the iPad connected to it) I often can’t see the hamburger icon to open up the sidebar and I don’t see the “new note” pill. These elements are obscured, it seems, by an element associated with the keyboard itself.

Does switching to a different note fix the issue?

If not, can you send a screenshot of what you're seeing?

I am having the same problem.  Then I found this thread so I disconnected my iPad's keyboard, the hamburger icon appeared, then when I reconnected the keyboard the icon remained visible so the problem definitely has something to do with the external keyboard.
