(Archived) EN inherits connection from Internet Explorer

Suddenly after making a note change this afternoon I received syn errors with the log claiming the Windows subsystem was offline. As I was happily browsing the web, chatting and what not I dismissed that.

Problem persisted so I check here. One such type of connection problem comes form proxy settings which EverNote inherits from Internet Explorer.

So I opened IE, switched it from Work Offline to Work Online ... and magic; EverNote works again

For me, it looks like the only for Evernote to access the web is to keep IE open. I normally use Firefox, and I don't want to have to keep IE open only for this. PLEASE give Evernote its own Proxy settings.
