Note Overwritten by Previously Accessed Note

The note I just clicked on, which was quite lengthy and I'd been using for a while, was overwritten by the note I had just previously opened.  It's really disappointing that as a free user, there is no way to revert back to an old version and it doesn't seem cost effective to pay $15 just to access the history for that single note.
