It's a quiet common need to sort and view notebooks in particular different ways.The current product (not just on mac) is using a global settings that , for example, once you set it sorted by latest changed and the side list will apply it to all the other notebooks. So It will be much difficult to find a note in a alphabeta way sorted notebook (i know it can be founded by search with name, but it just didn't work as efficient as just by looking sometimes).I highly suggest evernote development team can solve this and add a setting or what that can remember the notebook's best sorting method!
