Level 5 PinkElephant 1,575 Posted November 19, 2020 Level 5 Share Posted November 19, 2020 Seems on a Mac. Which OS ? v10 currently is probably not what you expect from an up-grade. At the moment it is more a down-grade in terms of available functions. Anyhow you may want to install the legacy client instead, and wait a while until v10 matures: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314 Link to post
jepsteen 0
Still waiting for this to get resolved. Checking other threads...is this a known issue? I really don't want to use the legacy app. Link to post
rjtaft 2
Is there a resolution to this? I'm on my fourth round of installing and deleting various versions. Each install hangs at the login step. Link to post
MattBrooklyn 0
I'm also experiencing this. Tried to upgrade from a legacy version of Evernote to 10.4.4 build 2096 public on a MacBook Pro running MacOS 10.15.7 and after entering my email address, it just hangs. Downgraded to Legacy 7.14.1 and I'm at least able to access my old version now. Link to post
agentgreen 4
Just updated, same problem. Link to post
rjtaft 2
Come on Evernote - we're not talking about a minor issue here - we literally cannot log in to use the software we're paying for. Please comment and fix. 1 Link to post
riaan.tischendorf 0
I have upgraded multiple times now, and even with 10.4.4, Logging in just hangs , Please advise soon, Might have to look at other note apps. This has been weeks now. Not good Link to post
whydoihavetocreateanaccoun 0
Same issue with the Mac app -- gets hung up on loading after entering the username. I haven't been able to use Evernote since the update, can't imagine a more critical bug than this... Link to post
GlenBorkowski 0
I'm seeing the same issue. I opened a ticket and they said it will be 10-12 days before they can get to me. Mac OSX 10.15.7, updating to Evernote 10.4.4. I tried deleting / reinstalling / rebooting - nothing helps. Link to post
walvendia 0
Same issue Mac OSX 10.15.7 and updated to Evernote 10.4.4. This is bad. Link to post
Freelander 0
I've just upgraded and hit the same issue. Evernote should be ashamed of themselves, this is a massive problem - it makes the product 100% useless. Link to post
Level 5 PinkElephant 1,575 Posted December 11, 2020 Level 5 Share Posted December 11, 2020 Just stick with legacy, until EN got this v10-issue sorted out: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote Link to post

tbarnason 0
I am also experiencing the same issue (for over 30 days) now -- I am paying a fee and without access via my Mac O/S App' this tool becomes essentially worthless (I really do not want to login to the web experience) Evernote Team - please provide a fix and post/make available ASAP Edited December 21, 2020 by tbarnason Adding an Attachment Link to post

Milan Gupta 0
I were facing the same issue. But for time being, I switched to legacy app which you can download from here. This worked on my MacOS. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote Link to post
MattBrooklyn 0
@Shane D. Do you know if anyone is monitoring this forum? I still cannot log into the new Evernote app and am still using the legacy app because of this login issue. Seems like others are having the same issue. I just updated to: 10.6.9-mac-ddl-public (2254) Editor: v116.1.14913 Service: v1.26.7 Still not able to log in. Thanks for any help or guidance you can provide! Link to post

agentgreen 4
I have already put a support ticket in regarding this issue and am working with support now. I will let everyone know what (if any) the solution is. 1 Link to post
zamgill 0
I was able to fix this issue by changing my default browser to something else and trying again. I'm assuming it has something to do with the browser cache. Might be worthwhile trying to clear browser cache and trying again. Link to post
agentgreen 4
So don't really have a solution here, but support suggested that this issue is probably due to company laptops and the IT policies applied to them. This was somewhat confirmed when I upgraded my personal mac laptop to latest version of Evernote (10.6.9) and it working just fine, but my work laptop was not working. Unfortunately Evernote isn't supported at my company, so they weren't interested in helping me troubleshoot. If this issue is ONLY affecting you on your company laptop, may want to engage IT to see if the need to update security policies. Will just have to use a legacy app until my IT dept gets with it. 3 Link to post
MattBrooklyn 0
@agentgreen That was it! It's my work/company MacBook that's blocking the login of the new version of Evernote (Legacy version still works fine). Thanks for the guidance. Link to post
Rollo 0
Hey, I have this problem but I'm actually not using a work or school computer. When I try to login with Google it just hangs on the "Signing in..." message. I'm using version 10.6.9 and the web version and Android app work just fine, it's just the desktop app that doesn't work. I even tried removing the web version as a device to make room for the desktop app but still nothing. Link to post
Flo1984 0
Any update on this? Looks like an real issue. Also have to use old version. Got this problem with the new 10er Version over month. Not working behind corporate proxy. Please Evernote Fix this issue! Link to post
Abduh 0
Dear all, I had the same problem when I set Brave as the default browser on my Windows 10 PC but the problem has been solved by switching to Microsoft Edge as the recommended browser for Windows 10. Hope it helps Cheers Link to post
