(Archived) How do I attach pdf?

Viv Ilo Veith

Idea

I give up!! This should be simple but I do not understand, nor can I find instructions in the manual or elsewhere on how to attach a pdf to a note or how to import files of any sort into Evernote. I am on a Mac and I am a paid subscriber.

Can someone please write out clear instructions - even if it seems obvious?

Also, it would be great to post the instructions in the shared notebook.

Thanks ever so much.

All notebooks have the same UI, so this will work for all of them...whether they are local, synchronized or shared.

The easiest way to do it, in my opinion, is to:

1. Find the PDF in Finder.

2. Click-and-drag the file (from Finder) to the Evernote icon on the Dock.

3. This will open Evernote (depending on your settings), with a new note with the PDF attached. Most likely, the PDF will show up within the note (so it's readable when viewing the note).

4. You can then rename the note, add tags, etc.

Does that help?
