Using IFTTT to generate Daily Journaling Notes in Evernote

Recommended Posts

I use the service If This Then That (IFTTT) to build a new journaling page each day at 5 am with the days weather forecast already built in and all my writing/journaling prompts for the day.

Here's how I do it:

IFTTT is transferring to a paid service so I'm looking for alternatives

I also use a daily journal/dashboard note
My process starts with a template noteMy Notes.enex

I have an applescript on my Mac scheduled for 7am daily
It duplicates the template, and sets up tags and title
After that, I cut and paste to set up for the day; tasks/events, weather, tides, sunrise/set, ...spacer.png529602785_ScreenShot2020-10-13at3_14_10PM.thumb.png.4e124bcfff1d75d84c6f3d2791ba1de0.png

I saw your video a few weeks ago and I loved the idea. I managed to create the journal and I love how much more focussed I am in a day.
Pet peeve is the extra line added to Evernote.

I wanted to add two more sections. One is meetings/events for the day. I can get it from query add-on in IFTTT ListEventsforSpecificDate  from Google calendar but it show only one records though I can  see that the applet retrieved 3 records . Do you know how I can do that?

Secondly I want to add an automatic retrieve of word of the day from Dictionary.com
