Brandon Wood 6 Posted October 10, 2020 Posted October 10, 2020 I noticed on the new Mac and iOS version my PDF’s are all attachments now. I use to be able to the view the PDF in the note. Now I have to download it to my PDF viewer. Am I doing something wrong? 1

Evernote Expert gazumped 12,634 Posted October 11, 2020 Evernote Expert Posted October 11, 2020 Hi. If you haven't already done so, I'd suggest (re)installing the legacy version and using that where v10 isn't yet ready. Install an older version of Evernote
markdolph 58 Posted October 11, 2020 Posted October 11, 2020 Before we had the option of choosing which application to open a pdf attachment. Now it seems we can only use preview. I'm using running Evernote under Mac OS Catalina 10.15.7

This release is more of a beta than anything further. That said, I'm hopeful that the more issues that are reported, the faster they can get to a full commercial release. 3

Solution Nick L. 683 Posted October 11, 2020 Solution Posted October 11, 2020 PDF files larger than 20MB or encrypted will not display a preview. We are going to increase the file size at a later date. 2

Thanks for sharing Nick - can someone please get a list together of stuff like this so we know more about what restrictions might only be temporary? I would have given you a like if getting this data didn't feel so much like extracting teeth... 6

I think it's a good idea to have some sort of message on the dropdown menu explaining that PDFs larger than X MB cannot be displayed as a preview. I was going crazy about this situation removing and uploading PDFs on my notes because I was thinking it was a problem on the menu being caused by a glitch. 1
