Right Click -> Services -> Evernote options not working

I used to be able to select text in a document or a file in Finder, right click, go to the Services Menu, then there would be an Evernote option to allow me to send it to Evernote as a new note/attachment. There is still an Evernote option, but when I choose it the app opens but nothing else happens.

Right clicking to create a new note also doesn't work (used to be able to right click on a notebook I think?)

I'm experiencing the same issue.  What I have found is if you open the all notebooks view, which shows the list of all notebooks in the right hand pane, I can then right-click on a notebook to delete it or reset the default notebook.  This is on MacOS Catalina 10.15.7 with Evernote 10.5.7

Try clicking on the three dots in the middle pane (select the note first).  There is a menu item:  "Rename notebook"

Same problem here.  Started happening with the new Mac desktop version last year.  It's really annoying, I used to use the feature all the time

Wow I just installed Evernote for the first time and am flabbergasted that such a basic feature does not work. I thought I could select text anywhere -> right click -> save selected text to Evernote

This application is already so bloated with features; please make the simple stuff work

Yes, that is correct 💯

The AppStore version is 💯 % the same software, but the Mac executes it in a sandboxed mode. This is giving problems when trying to interact with other programs or use utility functions installed on the Mac.

I use the direct download since running into similar problems back in 2019, still with legacy 7.14.

No more issues with the direct download.
