Sorting notes by our own choice

I've been wondering if I can sort my notes according to my own preference. I searched for it in the evernote and couldn^t find any option. Also checked evernote forums and I guess there is no feature like this yet. I'd be much happier if evernote provides this kind of feature for users. It would be great if we could drag our notes up and down and after sorting lock them in a specific order.

Hi.  There is a way to do that now - select your list of notes and choose 'create a table of contents note'. Evernote will create a list of notes with links to each note.  You'll be able to cut and paste those links in any order you require.  It's also possible to sort notes by creation / updated dates and title,  so including numbers at the start of the title or editing the dates will also control the order.

For the note list panel. Evernote only supports Date/Title sort options

The place to "sort my notes according to my own preference" is the Shortcuts sections
Use drag and drop to arrange sort order

Thank you for your suggestions. They definitely helped me but I still think these are still not so handy enough. Maybe the table of content can be improved a little bit by adding a feature that slides notes in the order of users' wishes.
