Skitch couldn`t successfully contact the Evernote service

Hello everyone.

I absolutely love the software (Skitch), it helps me a lot with my work and does exactly what I need. However, I can`t get rid of this error message (screenshot attached) when the program starts for the first time. Even though I do not use Evernote, I created an account: I can open the service, save screenshots from the app directly + there are no issues with my Internet and the latest version of Skitch installed. Please, advise how to make this annoying message to stop popping up, had the same problem on my old PC.

Are you using the latest version (on my Mac it is 2.9) ?

Maybe you should try to completely uninstall Skitch and reinstall instead of updating.

In this case it's Windows 10. And as far as I know, there's no update for the Skitch app anymore and you can only get new versions within Evernote or something like that.

The latest I could locate was a version 2.8.5 - but I am not sure this is for Windows, and I don’t know if the site can be trusted:
