(Archived) New user overlay - make it go away

Hi,

Perhaps I'm the only one with this problem (don't see anybody else talking about it) but the 'helpful' overlay for new users just won't go away. Doesn't matter what I do, every time I open Evernote (1.11.0) I get a big red circle around the 'New Note' icon.

It's sort of annoying me now...

Anybody know how to get rid of this overlay?

How many notes do you have in your account? You should only see this overlay if you only have a single note in your account.

Ha! Yes. I had a clear out and only had one note... was going to add more but the big, red circle directing me to 'New note' made me so angry I refused to click it out of spite!

Since we always create new accounts with exactly one note, we decided that this was a reasonable way to tell a "brand new account" from an account that had ever been used.

This doesn't quite handle the case of someone deleting their way down to exactly 1 note, but we figured that was a rare enough case to be ok.

Thanks that red circle almost made me delete Evernote - In my opinion you should remove it or make it clear to new users how to get rid of it :-)
