Hi guys,

I'm experiencing missing notes on my Evernote mac app.

I have tried to uninstall it and install the latest version.
I have cleared my browsing data just in case it was a memory problem.
I have logged in to the web version, and all my notes are still there as expected.

I noticed that my list of notes would load 100% for a split second then returns to the partial loading of list of notes.

How to fix this issue?

I don't know if this applies to your problem or not, but I've been working with Evernote support about my desktop Evernote for Mac app not showing 99.9% of my notes in the "All Notes" folder. Other folders, e.g. "Cabinet", did show notes, and the Web app showed all notes. The notes weren't missing, just invisible to "All Notes" on the desktop. The reinstalling and force syncs didn't work. But what did work was to recreate the full text search Index. Actually I had to run that solution twice to fix my notes. We are still exploring why this behavior popped up.

I Run evernote between my Mac laptop running ( Mojave 10.14.6), my iphone and Ipad.

I have been a paid up subscriber for 6 or 7 years. I have around 5000 notes that are work, personal and in between.

If I search against 'merc', short for mercedes, I get 6x returns on my Mac, There are in fact over 40 notes that come back qhen sarched on phone or ipad.

What is causing this discrepancy?

Hi there!

In order to remedy this issue, I would recommend recreating the Full Text Search Index in your Evernote for Mac application. To do this, please follow these steps:

1. Open Evernote on your Mac
2. Hold down the Option key on your keyboard and select Help from your Mac's menu bar
3. Select Troubleshooting > Recreate Full Text Search Index

Please know that there's no progress bar or indicator for this process, so I'd recommend giving it upwards to an hour depending on the amount of notes you have.

Hello!

I tried this way, but it's not work.

Do you have other solution?

Thanks a lot!

Hi All,

I'm having the same issue as RustyJon,

My addition to my note (made on Jun 25) is missing from my note on the desktop version on Mac. I tried to access it over the weekend on Mobile, and couldn't see it there, and am theorizing that the non-updated Mobile version somehow wrote over the note.

I saw the update flash up when I opened the web version of the app, but then immediately disappear.

Any help to solve or troubleshoot would be helpful!

You are using the method on the new client v10.

The described option to recreate the search index only exists in EN legacy, v 7.14. All posts here before yours are older than the release date of the new version. Hence they can't tell, because they didn't even know about the new versions release a few months later.
