(Archived) Does Merge Use Additional MBs?

If I merge two notes, say one 10 MB and one 15 MB, does my monthly usage stay the same, or is 25 MB deducted for the size of the new note?

This will create a new note to be uploaded, and place the other two in the Trash. So this will count 25MB against the quota.

To further clarify (or possibly cOnFuSe)...if the first note (10 mg) had been sync'd up but the 2nd note (15 mg) had not & then you merge them...is it going to use 35 mb? 10 for the first note that was sync'd up & 25 for the newly merged note?

Good point. The calculations are always done at the server when a note is synchronized. If you make two notes on the local computer and merge them before you sync, then the server would only "see" the merged one. But if either of the original files was ever stored on the server, then both copies would count against your monthly allowance.
