Questions about sharing feature

I am using evernote to keep an inventory of my craftroom. A friend shared their files of their inventory to save me a lot of trouble inputting inventory since we own a lot of the same items. If I want to delete items that I don't have, will it delete it from her original notebook? Is there a way to copy the files once they are shared so they are no longer linked and I can edit the notes so they can be personalized to my needs? Again, the purpose of her sharing her files is to save me a ton of time adding notes of things we have that are the same.

Hi. Copy the note into one of your own notebooks.  Whatever you then do to your copy of the shared note will not affect the original.
