Should I be able to drag an attachment from Apple Mail straight to Evernote?

When I try this, the UI looks like it will work (the little green and white plus sign), but when I release the dragged item it does not appear in the note.

Dragging an attachment from Apple Mail to the EN icon on the dock does create a new note.

I've filed a bug on this issue. I believe that Mail.app represents the attachment in a way that we don't expect ... i.e. it doesn't "look" the same to us as a file from the desktop, so we would need to program for the different representation.

FYI, in 2.2.0 RC (152864), this bug is still present.

Is it possible that this is also the reason for the drag&drop problem, that I described here (2nd point)?
