Save as template disabled for premium account

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have a desktop app on windows 10 and premium Evernote. When I create a new handwritten note I am not able to save it as a template - "save as template" in the "..." menu is greyed out. Any help will be appreciated

Hi.  Perhaps I'm missing something,  but what exactly is it about a handwritten note that you want to save as a template?  I don't believe that if you open a new ink note you have the option to insert a template - maybe if you save an image as a sort of template,  you could annotate a copy of that image?  I know some stylus software uses notepaper styles that vary from lined to accounting - maybe a variation on that sort of thing would help?

I can't find the reference but I recall the template feature was designed for note contents (text) and has limited support for attachments (handwriting)

Templates are for „standard“ notes only. This means structured text, may contain tables, but no pictures.

I remember reading about a guy who created templates with company logos somehow. But this meant quite an effort in HTML coding, because the logo needed to be embedded into the code of the template. Nothing to be done by just a few clicks on the mouse.

Is the handwritten note saved as an image?  If so, put the image in a 1 x 1 table and you can save it as a template.
