For example If I select a parent tag and click delete then the only option I get is Also any time I click the parent tag 'abc' it automatically highlights the child tag 'def'. Link to comment

You have to move the child tags from the parent tag hierarchy The screenshot is from my Mac after right-clicking a tag Drag and Drop also works 1 Link to comment
