quickly insert the selected area

I use evernote to store my abstracts on video courses and often take many screenshots. I do not have enough functionality to quickly insert the selected area of the screen into the current note. There is a button on the toolbar for creating a screenshot, but when you click on it, the screenshot is inserted into a new note (and I need to paste it into the current one. It would be logical to place the button for creating a screenshot on the note toolbar (for example, next to the "Make and insert a photo "). I need help or advice, maybe I don’t understand something

I'm using a Mac and screenshot >clipboard.  It's easy to paste into the note
