pipkato 0
YouTube 'Clip to Evernote' always produces a YouTube video title which has a number in brackets in front of it - such as '(5) My Clip from YouTube' (see attached image). This is not new and has been happening for a long time. I've posted about this before but have never received a solution. It's been like this for years and now the issue persists in macOS Catalina. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to prevent it? Thanks! Link to comment

If that really is the one that came out a few days ago, I can only suggest you raise a support ticket or post a feature request in the Clipper forums. I'm not a Mac user so someone else out there may have something more useful to contribute... Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 5,538 Posted December 15, 2019 Level 5 Share Posted December 15, 2019 Does not work like this on my Mac (MacBookPro, Catalina 10.15.2, latest EN and WebClipper apps). When I clip from YT, the title is added, but not numbers in brackets. In the settings, I have found no option to influence this. Link to comment
pipkato 0
Thanks to gazumped and to PinkElephant and my apologies for this delayed reply. I"m afraid I've asked Evernot support about this many months ago and got an unsatisfactory reply. I'm using Safari on a Mac running Catalina with the latest Evernote 7.14 and the recent Web Clipper 7.12.3 and still have that number problem. This has been happening to me for years. Link to comment

Can you provide the exact steps you're using Here's my process 1) Viewing a video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8-2JCDeyzA 2) Click on web clipper 3) And get this note Link to comment

I'm wondering if it is not actually an Evernote problem. Currently, using Chrome on Windows, if I view a YouTube video, the browser tab shows with a number in ( ). I've noticed the same at home using Safari on the Mac. Evernote is likely just grapping the tab title. Link to comment

I'll try this again at home with my Mac. Maybe a Youtube or browser setting ... The number shown is usually different and I've never been able to associate it with anything. Link to comment
