(Archived) remarks on email to evernote, chrome and forum registering

Recommended Posts

Hello,

3 everydayuse remarks on the superb Evernote project :

- I use heavily my email to evernote address to archive safely important email. But I've find a way to preserve to email header with the recipient etc. And some of the email formatting is lost also.

- The Chrome plugin is pladged by the loss of account info after one week, and the strange behaviour after 1 capture of web page, the following still display the previous info and a second click is needed.

- A detail but to not oblige reregister for the forum, but use the general evernote account. I know, it's a separate engine, but, with some grace, it's possible to branch stuff, no?

Thanks for attention,

Pierre, Brussels

Pierre -

Thanks for the report. Regarding the behavior of Chrome: if you try to create a "Quick Note" by pressing the Chrome button and then type some text, but you forget to press the "Save" button, then the next time you press the our button, you'll see that same note again so that you can finish it.

To prevent this, you should press either "Save" or "Discard" when you finish clipping a note.

IME, it's best to allow a user to have a message board login that differs from their account login. It's a privacy issue. Plus, some people have multiple EN accounts. Say one for work & one for personal stuff. Yet on a message board, unless someone has something to hide or is trying to make it appear that multiple users are posting the same/similar requests, there's no reason to have multiple message board logins.
