TOC- add new note, add note link to Bottom/Top of Notebook's TOC

I like TOCs, but they take some updating to keep working well within a notebook with constant inbound new notes.

Can the User have new notes coming into a Notebook that has a TOC have those new note links added to the TOC (and user preference either at the top or bottom of the TOC)?

I’ve given up on TOC’s for exactly this reason.

But I make saved searches into shortcuts to do the same thing, and they really do update automatically. If you can find a search that selects the notes you want, you’re home and dry.  Unfortunately you can’t auto-sort them (yet).

You can save the sort searches with Windows desktop using the view options drop down..
