(Archived) 4 years of notes gone and can't contact Evernote

mrivmriv

Idea

There seems to be no easy way to contact Evernote. No email addresses. The click for inquiry does not work.

If anyone from Evernote sees this, maybe they can help. I have Evernote on everyday. Today about four years of notes are gone, on my computer and on the net. Just gone!!! They were all there yesterday. Below is the log.

I am hoping you can help.

Thanks.

PS: Just found mynotes.enex and imported them. Problem is it's from November, 2009, about 92 mb. Prior to that, my Evernote was showing only 11 files on it, and so was my Evernote accont on the web. So, I am presently missing ten months of clippings and notes.

PSS: They are in the trash!! 486 notes. I did not put them there, they were under "unfiled", many with tags, which now show up only if I restore them. Can you (Evernote) move what is in my trash back into a notebook (preferably "unfiled", but that does not show up anymore). What happened?

I just checked and the link works.

http://www.evernote.com/about/contact/support/

Scroll down to the bottom of the page where it says:

If you have found a problem that is not addressed within the FAQ Knowledge Base or the Forum, you can notify us of the problem via a support inquiry.

Inquiries from Premium Evernote accounts will receive a reply within one business day (Monday-Friday).

I think I mentioned that. It does not work. I have tried it about ten times. This is an organization that does not want to be contacted (unlike in the early days). They do give you their address, with no phone number!! Very unprofessional.

Gotta say, I have never had a problem with the Contact form...it always works for me. Perhaps they haven't responded because it's the weekend? Are you a Premium user?

Second, wouldn't it be easier if you just made a new "unfiled" notebook, then dragged all of the notes from the trash into it?

Works perfectly for me. Very professional even on Labor Day.

Just tried it.

In less than 10 seconds, I got a reply email that referenced the case number and confirmed receipt of my support request.

If you've opened a support case successfully, but you didn't receive any replies (even the automated reply), then please check the Spam folder in your email account. Your mail system may be incorrectly categorizing mails from our support system as spam.

Update:

When I checked my computer this morning, Evernote Support had already sent me a response.

Like Lougoose, it's worked every time for me & jbenson confirmed it was working this weekend.

FYI, many companies allow their employees time off. Evenings, weekends, holidays. Stuff like that. Evernote is no different. (Eventhough many, including Dave, post here nights, weekends & holidays.) This past weekend was a U.S. holiday weekend. Many "professional" organizations gave their employees Monday off.

I suppose it would be silly to ask if you have a current backup.
