Search resetting when I go to another app

I use Evernote with my iphone SE, operating system iOS 13.2. Ever since I started using the new operating system, whenever I use Evernote and search for a note, if I'm on the note in Evernote but go to another app without closing Evernote, whenever I go back to Evernote my search and the note I was working with is gone and I have to search and find the note all over again. It didn't use to work this way and I could go to another app and come back to the same place on the note where I was before.

Yup, same issue on iPhone 8 with ios 13.2.

It is very annoying and unworkable if you use your ios device for various apps at once!
