While in a note, the ability with one click to get to the "main" (home/list=  of notes) EN screen. Equal to opening tool bar, right click on EN icon, select "Evernote" elephant.

This would be very helpful for needing to pop open an already created note

Not sure I fully understand the request.  The program itself can be called with a hotkey, and the icon can be visibly placed on the Windows toolbar while hiding other icons.

If you are referring to easily accessing a home note, many of us keep a link to a Home note on the shortcuts bar, plus by making a small edit on the note before closing the program (usually toggling a checkbox) the first note that appears is the Home note, when starting the program after a reboot (sort by updated is assumed).
