Indexing Handwritten Notes

I am using the app to take photos of my journal notes. Evernote can recognize some of my sloppy handwriting while it is not able to on other pages. 

My question: Short of retaking the photo, is there a method to "force" Evernote to index a photo of a page once the photo is part of a note?

Copy the photo to a new note.  Delete the photo, re-insert it

The OCR results are stored in a text file in the note
On a Mac, I can view the "indexing" by accessing the note folder
On Windows, the information is available in an enex export file
