I see 10GB in ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.STMFramework.UIHelper.com.evernote.Evernote/Data/Library/Application Support and 12GB in ~/Library/Group Containers/XXXXXX.com.evernote.Evernote. But I just realised that the first one seems to be more than a year old from when I moved from the App Store version back to the Direct download version. So I will remove the first folder and see.

At one time, the two versions were known to use different storage locations

The master version of our data is stored on the Evernote servers (except for local notebooks)
It's safe to delete the local database; Evernote will restore the database from the servers at your next login
