Evernote shortcut icon is displaying images

Whenever I click the elephant icon at the top of my computer screen, it display a screen shot of websites I visited months ago. Can someone tell my why these images are being display?

You more than likely inadvertently clipped using one of the hot keys on Mac or when you were working with it. It will stay there until you save it to Evernote or delete it. I do it all the time. The hotkey I have set up is very close to another keyboard shortcut I have so when I'm moving along too fast I will do it.

If you don't need it anymore you can delete it. If you want it click the save button.

The "elephant icon" is for the Evernote Helper app              
It allows for screenshots and quick notes without opening the main Evernote app
