This feature has been requested many, many times. The best strategy may be to search the Android Feedback forum for such requests and vote for them by clicking the upward pointing arrow. But obviously Evernote is well aware of the need for it; they have to prioritize the process of developing features, and evidently this has not yet made it to the top of the list.
