Opening an Excel file in EN from Excel

J_Love

Idea

I save an Excel file in EN, I can open, edit and save and all is good.  When I then try to open that file directly from Excel, Excel says it cannot find it - when clearly it knows where it is...?  Is the location not specific enough, is there a way to do this?

The spreadsheet file is stored in the Evernote database and is not available to Excel.

When you open the attachment file in Evernote for editing

  1. Evernote exports the spreadsheet file to a temporary folder
  2. launches Excel, and waits until your editing is finished
  3. imports the spreadsheet file and replaces the attachment file
  4. deletes the file from the temporary folder
