About privacy policy

Recently, it's said that Evernote's company could allow their staffs view and use users' notes for machine learning with out our permission. Now ,I wonder if it is true or not. If that is true, how could Evernote international Company ensure users' privacy is "pure privacy", not the data of the third party's.

Hi.  Staff reading sampled user notes was suggested over a year ago.  There was so much fuss that Evernote completely withdrew the idea,  and reverted to complete privacy for users.

Can you point to the source of your information.  afaik, there's no recent news on the machine learning project.

As I recollect, we have a choice to opt in on this project - the default is opt out.

If you're interested in "pure privacy", you can encrypt your note contents
