All my old notes gone after switching to new Evernote web

I logged in and switched to the new Evernote web in my browser but only notes I have added since switching are there.  I switched back to old version and was very relieved it still had my old notes.  I don't think I upgraded my desktop version because it also still has my old notes.  Now I'm too worried to risk moving to a newer version in case I lose everything.  Rapidly losing confidence in this app.

I consider the new version a beta version; not ready for general release.

I recommend using the current version until the new version has been completed.
