How to change input box color for better visibility

I'm having difficulty seeing the input box when using the 'Search Notes' and 'Find' features. Would like to change the input box to yellow so that I can see where it is on the page.

Find the input box: Depending on what app I'm using, when I hit Ctrl+F the input box can show up anywhere on the page.

See the input box: Does it really have to be so small? Ctrl+ does not enlarge the input box...

Find the bouncing cursor: Sometimes my cursor lands in the text box and sometimes, thanks to the ever helpful touch pad, it jumps to the text body as I'm typing in the search term. So, I have to hunt down and delete the erroneously placed search term from somewhere within the text body... I can't always find that rascally rabbit...
