Two-step verification setup not working

When I go to enter my phone number to set up two-step verification I continually get the error prompt shown in the attached screenshot. Regardless of the format I use for my valid phone number (that can receive SMS messages) I am unable to continue.

Please advise how I can correct.

@tedwlm I just opened a support ticket with you to get this figured out. I'll need to escalate this to our SMS partner to find out what's happening. Please reply to the support ticket when you have a chance. Regards,

I'm having the same issue - did this get resolved?    I have two Evernote accounts and want to use the same phone number for two-step verification for both. 

I am wondering if that is an issue because I am getting "Internal Error - Please try again" when entering same mobile number for 2-step setup for second account.  Two-step setup worked fine for first account which was enabled a while ago.
