tedwlm 0 Posted March 5, 2019 Posted March 5, 2019 When I go to enter my phone number to set up two-step verification I continually get the error prompt shown in the attached screenshot. Regardless of the format I use for my valid phone number (that can receive SMS messages) I am unable to continue. Please advise how I can correct. Thanks.
0 Solution Nick L. 683 Posted March 22, 2019 Solution Posted March 22, 2019 @tedwlm I just opened a support ticket with you to get this figured out. I'll need to escalate this to our SMS partner to find out what's happening. Please reply to the support ticket when you have a chance. Regards, 1
0 Ex Employees Scott T. 662 Posted March 6, 2019 Ex Employees Posted March 6, 2019 @tedwlm I just tested this and did not encounter an issue with my cell phone. Is there something special about your phone number, such as being a Google Voice or other non-standard cell service?
0 tedwlm 0 Posted March 8, 2019 Author Posted March 8, 2019 Nope, nothing special along those lines. I just tested it again in an Incognito window and got the same error.
0 mra777 1 Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 I'm having the same issue - did this get resolved? I have two Evernote accounts and want to use the same phone number for two-step verification for both. I am wondering if that is an issue because I am getting "Internal Error - Please try again" when entering same mobile number for 2-step setup for second account. Two-step setup worked fine for first account which was enabled a while ago.
0 Level 5 PinkElephant 9,253 Posted December 19, 2022 Level 5 Posted December 19, 2022 Shouldn’t be an issue. If you are on a Free account, wait a little and try again. If on a subscription use another 2FA method.
0 mra777 1 Posted December 21, 2022 Posted December 21, 2022 Thank you PinkElephant. You were correct - I tried again and this time it worked so maybe system was having an issue. Have a good day. 1
