rrszynka 2
Evernote seems to be going against the convention of most other apps I use with the choice of 'cmd+J' for the Spotlight-like jump-to-anything functionality. I tried going to macOS Settings->Keyboard->Shortcuts and adding an 'App Shortcut' for 'Jump to Notebook' Evernote, but it didn't seem to do anything and is giving me the system sound for something going wrong. I presume it's because either the name is wrong or it's impossible to do it that way, because that option is not part of the dropdown submenus (File, Edit, Note etc). I took the name from this article: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/208313358. It could be out of date, since 'cmd+J' is more of a 'Jump To Anything' than 'Jump To Notebook'. Could anyone help me in getting this to work? Link to comment
Level 5* DTLow 5,736 Posted January 28, 2019 Level 5* Share Posted January 28, 2019 On a Mac, the keyboard shortcuts can be set for any menu item using Apple System Preferences > Keyboard Make sure you use the precise name, as in Jump to Notebook... Link to comment
rrszynka 2
ah, that's what it was. Thanks a lot, that solved my problem. Don't know why I initially didn't find it in the menus. That also means that the article I linked is definitely out of date, would be awesome if someone takes notice and fixes it up. (here a proper link this time) Link to comment
