Mac Safari Web Clipper Fails with "Needs to be Reloaded" Message

The latest version of Evernote Web Clipper does NOT work in the Safari Browser on the Mac.

Everytime I click on the Evernote button in the Safari toolbar, I get this popup:

2018-12-27_14-50-46.png.3a668ab673e1eb7fd5d7c08c29b1abcc.png

I have tested on several different web pages in different web sites, and it always gets the same result.  Reloading the page has no effect on the web clipper.

I am running:

  • Safari 12.0.2 (12606.3.4.1.4) on macOS 10.12.6
  • Evernote Web Clipper 6.13.2

I have removed the EWC extension from Safari, and re-installed several times.  Reinstalling from both the Evernote web site and the Apple Safari web site.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this issue?
