Web clipper not working

I can't get web clipper to show the page i'm trying to clip. Instead it shows a number of open and closed apps and web pages. Where did the pick list go where I could pick a "simplified article"? Now the only drop-down menu I can find is one in the upper left corner (a settings icon) which shows settings options, not clipping options   

If I select clipping preferences I get this screen inside the evernote app:

I did the suggested procedure posted by someone [clear history, force quit Safari, reboot computer, reinstall clipper app] but it made no difference. Help!
