Templates that save tags

I have been enjoying the recent Templates feature on Evernote. There are of course some minor changes that others have likely pointed out.

One feature request I am surprised is not included with the Templates feature is to allow the templates to have pre-filled tags.

For example, say you 'Save as a Template' one of your notes that has a tag or tags, the next time you create a note from that Template it should pre-populate the tag(s).

Take this marked-up screenshot as an example, I modified the Weekly Review template to my liking and have decided all subsequent notes should be pre-populated with the tag 'GTD'. With this feature request, the subsequent notes from that Template should also be tagged 'GTD'.

Confirmed; the new Template feature does not store tag informarion (or attachments).

fwiw I've been using templates in Evernote for years.  Just a collection of notes tagged as Template
The Duplicate Note feature made it even easier.
The new note retains tags and attachments
