SSL error during sync

OK — here's the environment:

macOS Mojave 10.14.1

Evernote for Mac 7.6

 

When I click "File->Sync" I get an error. It reads: "An SSL error has occurred and a secure connection to the server cannot be made." That's all the information I get. When I open Evernote for Mac the most recent note is almost 2 weeks old — 11/18 (today is 12/1). When I go to Evernote.com I see clippings from yesterday (almost all my notes are clippings — I don't write very many notes myself).

 

Any suggestions on where and what I should look at? I'm not experiencing any SSL issues in any other apps or with any websites.

well, whatever the problem was turned out to be temporary. I had rebooted a couple of times without affecting the issue but there was a power outage here overnight & when I powered up this morning everything was back to normal. Sorry to waste your time...
