Tab Key Evernote Mac

Hey, 

I'm a Premium-Subscriber since I can basically remember and I came to be really frustrated with the laughable Formatting Tools inside the Mac Desktop App. I'll put up with all the bugs - But is there any way to make the Tab-Key work like a real Tab-Key? At the moment it just inserts 5*Spacebar - Which is not what it's supposed to do. This makes quick on-the-fly formatting a huge pain. Not even speaking of pasting something into a real text-editor.
