Older Versions to Download for El Capitan

evernote wouldn't open on my Mac so I deleted it and tried to download it but it then said this version will not with with your Mac. I have El Capitan

This version is the last compatible version with El Capitan.

You can use this command in your terminal 

/Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ El\ Capitan.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia

Here the El Capitan installer must be in the application folder to do this step.

In this example, the El Capitan installer in the application folder and Myusb is the name of USB drive which is used to boot.

sudo /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ El\ Capitan.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/MyVolume --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ El\ Capitan.app

Hi There, 

I too have experienced this issue however when downloading the link from Nick I'm told the file is damaged and that it should be sent to trash. Any ideas here?
