Receiving "Evernote XML Error 4" when trying to import from Mac Notes

I'm trying to use the Mac script on https://lwilli.github.io/2018-02-04-How-to-copy-mac-notes-to-evernote/ to copy notes from Mac Notes into Evernote. I've done this before with another Mac, but this time it always fails on certain notes with the following error: "Evernote got an error: The operation couldn't be completed. (Evernote XML Error error 4.)". 

If I open the Activity Log there are a few more detailed errors:

After extensive searching, I've only found two forums talking about this issue: https://discussion.evernote.com/topic/16575-archived-cant-synchronize-content-si-not-valid/ and https://discussion.evernote.com/topic/12622-archived-checklist-items-not-syncing/. However, neither of these have solved my problem.

How can I fix this issue? It's currently blocking me from using Evernote because I don't have any of my old notes.
