Skitch not working - can't insert screencaptures

I am still able to take screen captures / screenshots with Skitch, but when I go to "drag" it into a browser to share it (via an email, or inside of a google drive doc, or whatever), then it doesn't work. I can't drag it directly. Is anyone else having this problem? 

 

I am using a Mac (OS 10.12.1) and skitch version 2.8.2

What a mission to get  a fault logged. Poor ui and business process. Needs work.
