Hyperlink to video file on Android

I know that you can't create a link within a note directly on your mobile but on Windows you can.

I created links (file:///filepath) to videos on Windows and all worked well a couple of years ago until... I updated Evernote.

The links are now no longer blue and just have a dashed underline and obviously don't work.

Do links to files on your Android no longer work? Am I writing the file path wrong? What should the initial part of a file path look like on your internal storage?
