(Archived) Chrome clipper extension on Mac

I expect this has been asked before but I could not find anything using search - point me at the right place if it has.

I prefer using Chrome as my browser on Mac but the Evernote clipper does not clip directly to the local version of Evernote, only to the web one. Is there any way to change this behaviour or is it a Chrome restriction or just something waiting to be done?

The Chrome extension always clips directly to the web service. To view the note on your Mac client, you would need to sync afterwards. Google doesn't really want native code in their extension gallery as far as we can tell, which means that the add-on is Javascript-only.

Or, of course, just select what you want in Chrome and then clip via:

Cmd+C to copy

Ctrl+Cmd+V to paste to a new note in Evernote
