What does Evernote windows program allow me to do that the website and the clipper does not allow me to do ?

You should try it out and see for yourself.

Some points

  • The desktop apps maintain a copy of the data on the device
  • Include an export feature
  • Include a tables edit feature

Quite a bit. Multi-select notes to bulk tag, move. Merge notes, drag and drop notes to notebooks, etc.

The website has a decent editor, but it is horrible at moving notes around unless you just want to do one at a time.

The desktop program has a handy screen clipper (it clips images, not text or other content); you can put screen clips onto the clipboard, your Windows desktop, or directly into Evernote itself. I use it a fair bit.

Desktop versions have loads more useful features and tend to be faster, in my experience.
