Desktop software used to synchronise as soon I opened it

Hi,

This was very useful for me. As soon as I double clicked on the system tray icon, it would synchronise, so I was always 100% up to date. Now that option has just vanished. 

Any ideas?

Train yourself to use the F9 (sync) hotkey when you activate Evernote?

Evernote does sync in the background if you leave it open, i.e., minimize the application rather than dismissing it.

Thanks, but I miss the functionality of it doing this automatically when I opened it. I tend to use it on a number of devices, often transferring images and files between them. So I'm missing the old way of working. 

I know it's a first-world problem, but it's still annoying ?
