I have odd words and #'s I use in lists once in a while. I do not want add these to the directory so I click "ignore word" but this feature doesn't seem to work. I still have the annoying squiggly line underneath.

What version are you currently using?

Yes, the version number would be good information. This issue has been around for awhile, along with other spell-check problems in recent versions:

Hello. It's the very end of August, 2020, and the problem persists in my Evernote for Windows app, version info as follows: 6.25.1.9091 (309091) Public (CE Build ce-62.6.10954).

Any reason that this can't be fixed?

It's now 2023 and the problem still exists!  Or perhaps exists again? Evernote for Windows 6.25.1.9091 on Windows 10.

Yes, adding the word to the dictionary is a workaround.  But it's not a GOOD workaround in all cases.  If you can't make it work, then why even have the feature option?  Just remove it entirely.  OTOH if you know that removing the feature would make many users complain then that's a signal to product management/marketing that your customers want that feature, and they want it to work.

Evernote 6.25 is deprecated, unsupported software. It has been for over 2 years. No changes or updates coming in that direction.
