Zutonna 0
Hey everyone I used to be able to sync my web-based version of Evernote to my desktop version, and 'Export all notes' as a way of backing everything up. However, when I try to open my desktop version, I get the following message: "Your local Evernote data is being managed by a newer version of Evernote. Please use the latest version" My desktop Evernote is v6.11, i.e. old, so thought that maybe "newer version" was referring to the web-based version. Therefore I reverted back to the older web-based version and tried again... Unfortunately, I get the same message. How do I actually check which version is doing the 'managing'? I'm hesitant to update my Mac OS, so is there another way I can get a back-up of all my notes? Thanks. Link to comment

It works best if all the components are at the same version My solution is to completely remove Evernote from your Mac; app, database, .... The app AppCleaner is recommended for this. Reinstall the app, login, and the database will be rebuilt from the server. Warning: The rebuild does not include Local Notebooks or unsync'd notes. Link to comment
